The wooden roof basilica chapel of Saint Paraskevi is dedicated to the patron saint of the same name and dates back to the 14th century. Nestled near the ""Poumis"" location in the northern part of Pedoulas village, the chapel is a historic and religious landmark. Saint Paraskevi was a revered Christian martyr and her memory is celebrated in the church. Visitors can immerse themselves in the rich history and spiritual significance of the chapel while taking in its beautiful wooden roof and historic architecture. The dedicated icon of Saint Paraskevi that used to grace the chapel is now preserved in the Byzantine Museum of Nicosia. Saint Paraskevi of Rome, also known as Saint Paraskeva the Younger, was a Christian saint and martyr of the 2nd century AD. She is venerated as the patron saint of healers, and is considered a protector against diseases and natural disasters. According to tradition, Saint Paraskevi lived a life dedicated to helping the poor and sick, and was eventually imprisoned and executed for her faith. Her feast day is celebrated on July 26th in the Eastern Orthodox Church.
